What temperature does a 200hp mercury blackmax run?
I’ve got a 1990 200HP mercury blackmax. I felt water being released from the motor although it was running also it was type of hot. Is the fact that normal of these motors simply because they have thermastats? The temp gauge was reading through normal.
Your outboard uses 143 degree thermostats, therefore the operating temp ranges between 135 and 150 levels. Water in the tell-tail should feel hot, not scalding.
